The Santa Project

Every year, generous UCP of NYC volunteers and donors make the holidays brighter for people with disabilities and their families. Our annual Santa Project raises money for holiday gift cards and equipment for program participants.  Last year, volunteers, fundraisers and contributors helped the UCP of NYC Santa Project deliver every child’s family in our Children’s Programs a gift certificate, bringing a little extra cheer to those in need.

Elves for UCP of NYC’s Santa Project, approach the goal of giving gift cards to our families in a variety of creative ways.  Some people throw fundraising parties and events, others do gift card ‘’drives” with friends, family and coworkers, some simply write a check so UCP of NYC can purchase gift cards for those in need. Our goal is to provide EVERY child and family in our Children’s Programs with at least one gift card and to help participants in our Adult Programs with specialized equipment needs.  The more we raise, the more we can do!

Donate

Every 25 dollars raised is a gift card for a family member.

Organize a Gift Card Drive

Ask your friends, family and co-workers to join you in a gift card “drive” to collect as many cards as possible for the Santa Project.

Throw an Office Party 

Instead of the usual holiday office party, convince your colleagues to make a gift to the Santa Project for kids and families in need!  Still having your holiday party?  Include a gift card drop for contributions.

Host a Holiday Lunch or Dinner 

Host a simple gathering and get people in the holiday giving mood early! Invite your family, friends and colleagues over for some holiday nog and encourage a donation to the Santa Project! Some people choose to throw a fun and festive party, some just gather their friends for drinks and give the pitch for donations.

However you choose to participate, UCP of NYC can help you with your planning! Whether for a Children’s Program or an Adult Program, there can never be enough cheer around the holidays. Let us know how we can help you help others.
