SPIRIT
UCP of NYC's SPIRIT Program (Special Programs Incorporating Recreational Instructional Therapy) is a Saturday recreation program for teens and young adults with disabilities, ages 13 through 29. UCP of NYC’s SPIRIT Program offers participants the occasion to explore recreational activities in both our program centers and within the local community. We develop weekend programming that is full of adventure, inspiration and fun. For many of our young participants, UCP of NYC’s SPIRIT Program is their first opportunity experiencing the diverse social and recreational fabric of our wonderful city. Community outings and activities include:
UCP of NYC SPIRIT groups meet every Saturday from 10 am to 3pm (except for major holidays) at UCP of NYC centers in Brooklyn, Manhattan (which also accepts Bronx residents), and Staten Island.
