UCP of NYC's ACTION Day Camp (Adolescents Coming Together In Our Neighborhood) offers a terrific summer camp experience for Brooklyn residents, ages 13-21, living with a family member or guardian. ACTION Day Camp provides participants with a variety of on-site recreational and socialization activities, including arts and crafts projects, sports, community excursions, games and festive parties.
UCP of NYC ACTION Day Camp participants are invited to use our heated indoor pool and gym. Day trips to local attractions are scheduled a couple times a week.
UCP of NYC’s ACTION Day Camp is based out of our Brooklyn campus, and operates weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. during the three weeks of summer when public schools are closed. Our schedule offers parents a much needed respite during a time of year when childcare is especially difficult.
ACTION is funded by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
