Assistive Technology Resources
UCP of NYC is the principal nonprofit organization in New York City providing information on assistive technology equipment and services. For over 20 years, UCP of NYC has served as the New York City Regional TRAID Center (Technology Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities), a federally funded project administered by the New York State Commission on Quality of Care and Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities. UCP of NYC’s TechWorks Technology Resource Centers, located in Manhattan and Brooklyn, serve all of New York City, providing the latest information on assistive technology products and services. Together with our SHARE Lending Libraries and our Augmentative Communication program, our assistive technology offerings provide information, consultation, and access to cutting edge products and services. Children and adults with disabilities can test drive and borrow videos, software, adapted toys, switches and an array of other technology devices.
