This year, UCP of NYC developed a pet therapy project in Brooklyn called ARF. With the help of the Good Dog Foundation and an extraordinary volunteer handler, Patrice Barnett, ARF participants enjoy weekly visits with Twee, UCP of NYC’s beloved whippet.
For almost 10 consecutive years Stephanie Weiler has grown out her hair – a lustrous mane of thick dark brown locks – in order to help others. When Stephanie trades her long hair for a shorter style she knows her old ponytail will bring comfort and ease to disadvantaged children.
The 13th Annual Women Who Care Luncheon benefitting UCP of NYC was held Wednesday, May 7th at Cipriani 42nd Street. The sold-out event welcomed over 500 guests and raised nearly $550,000 for programs and services offered by UCP of NYC.
