Project CONNECT is very often a consumer's or family's first involvement with UCP/NYC. Project CONNECT is UCP/NYC's central information and referral service, which responds to all inquiries about services and supports provided for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Project CONNECT also ensures that individuals who have made inquiries receive the appropriate assistance.

Project CONNECT is responsible for coordinating all pre-intake activities for admission to internal agency admissions committees, to pre-screen eligibility requirements for day programs, to work with families to schedule program visits and/or face-to-face assessments for the individual, and to follow the admissions process through resolution.
