TechWorksExpo2005 is right around the corner, so register now to assure your place in the conference. Along with the full-conference registration for professionals, we've added a limited number of special $50 workshp and Exhibit Hall registrations for consumers and family members, and a $5 Exhibit Hall Only pass.

TechWorksExpo2005 is an exciting two-day assistive technology exhibition and conference. Assistive technology is any device, equipment, or product system that can be used to maintain or improve the functional abilities of children and adults with disabilities. The goal of TechWorksExpo2005 is to provide a forum for participants to learn about the latest technology, practical applications, services, and funding available to individuals with disabilities.
This two-day event will include exhibits, CEU workshops, and information for consumers and family members.
Who should attend? We invite educators, clinicians, service providers, service coordinators, administrators, healthcare organizations, professionals-in-training, consumers and their families to register for this event.
Over the two days, more than 80 sessions will focus on:
Mobility, Seating and Positioning;
Education and Vocation;
Sensory Impairment;
Augmentative Communication;
Wellness and Recreation;
Environmental Modification (including ADL);
Emerging Literacy; and
Computer Technology.
The program will include sessions that focus specifically on Early Intervention, and a Product Demonstration track in which exhibitors will focus on their equipment and services. This track is open to all attendees, including Exhibit Hall pass holders.

Continuing Education Credits will be available for SLPs, OTs, and ATPs.
RESNA is pleased to provide International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Continuing Education United (CEUs) for registered attendance and successful completion of this educational program. RESNA meets the Criteria for Certification established by the Authorized Provider Commission of the International Association of Continuing Education and Training, 1200 19th Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington DC 20036-2401.
Up to 1.1 CEUs will be available through RESNA for the two days.
ASHA CEUs are available for AAC Sessions
The United States Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (USSAAC)is approved by the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to provide continuing education activities in speech-language pathology and audiology. This program is offered for up to .9 CEUs (various levels; Professional area). ASHA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
At the completion of the TechWorksExpo2005 conference, attendees will be able to:
1. Discuss advances in emerging technologies for individuals who use AAC.
2. Describe innovative and effective methods of educationg persons who use AAC.
3. Describe ways in which AAC devices, symbol systems, and/or techniques can increase the participation of individuals with congenital and/or acquired communication disabilities in theh ome and classroom environments.
4. List models of AAC service delivery in use throughout the U.S.
5. Discuss successful strategies to develop or sustain literacy and learning by individuals who use AAC.

A limited number of $50 one-day susidized registrations are available for consumers and family members.
An Exhibit Hall pass is available on-site for $5 per day, and allows entry into the Exhibit Hall but not to the sessions. No pre-registration is available. This pass does includes entry to the Product Demonstration track where exhibitors will be explaining their equipment and services.
