| TEAM UCP/NYC Goes for the Gold at the Achilles Hope & Possibility Race |

TEAM UCP/NYC racers, including program participants, staff, volunteers and sponsors, made a big impression at the 2010 Achilles Hope & Possibility Race on June 27th. This New York City Marathon-qualifying race celebrates athletes of all abilities and our racers, in their blue TEAM UCP/NYC shirts and with their huge smiles, showed their fellow runners true athleticism, determination and heart as they crossed the finish line and received their medals. They even inspired special guest Prince Harry of Wales who met our Honored Racers, program participants from Saturday Recreation, Waterside and Tanya Towers, at the start line and posed for photos with Honored Racer Sergio, who attends the Saturday Recreation Program.
We had a team of over 50 racers and volunteers on the course for TEAM UCP/NYC’s inaugural event, and we’re looking forward to an even bigger turnout for future races. Our Honored Racers have spent the summer training with Achilles International and we are fortunate to have the support of their organization and of Achilles CEO, Dick Traum and his wonderful staff and volunteers. We also want to thank our generous lead sponsors IMG and Execu-Search for their support.
